LST arrives

Our Let’s Start Talking team arrives on Tuesday afternoon. Blake is from Fresno State and Bryn from Pepperdine. The poor guys are supposed to get off the plane at 17:45 (Blake will have been traveling for 26 hours already… 5.5 hour layover in Dallas and another 8 hours at Gatwick, London. Who is LST’s travel agent?). We’ll pack them on the train for the 50 minute ride to Lausanne where they will immediately meet 10 to 15 of the people who are going to do the English conversation courses with them. (Who is the guy organizing stuff on our end?) We’ve got to do this straightaway because Thursday is Ascension Day (you knew that…), a holiday in our canton. Most people from Lausanne make it a long weekend, so the team can rest after they meet everyone.

Ascension is the time for our European French churches’ retreat in the beautiful Ardèche area. The LST’ers will go too, and I’m sure they will be Frenched out and ready to give those English lessons next week.

Thank you for praying for these two workers.

Hey, Brady! Blake is having an 8 hour layover at Gatwick today? I wish I had known earlier. That's only 45-min from here, and the airport we prefer to use.

Sure wish we could coordinate with regards to some hospitality. Would love to help out from here if any of the kids get stranded in our neck of the woods. E-mail me for contact details if you lost them, and if we could be of assistance.

Happy Ascension Day! We also have a big weekend coming up, as Ascension Day coincides with our May Bank Holiday. Full choir Thursday night.

Blessings!

I will never complain about a five hour flight from Orlando to LAX again.

May God bless Blake and Bryn with a safe journey, rest, and (as we would say in the south) a "ready recollection" of their English lessons.

We had a chance to pray over these two on Sunday. It's always special to be involved with LST. Lisa wants to go someday, so there's a chance you'll host my wife before me.

Was it just last year that you spoke on the Sunday following Ascension Day? You really hammered me with that sermon. I still refer to it, in fact I did so as recently as a few weeks ago in my class.

Praying for safety and success and just sheer enjoyment of each other while they are with you.

You are a blessing to those who come your way.
